Our Club

Alresford Town Youth Football Club is a well established Multi-Award Winning Charter Standard Club affiliated to the Hampshire Football Association (V-HAM6496), who encourage boys & girls between the ages of 6 & 18 to join a structured, fun, yet successful Club, offering the minimum of Level 1 qualified Coaches in every age group.

Run entirely by volunteers, Alresford Town Youth FC is a family-friendly club, working to include players and people from all areas of the community and beyond. Over the years we have experienced significant success at all ages, & developed a reputation as a friendly club that plays football “the Alresford way”, with Respect!

The club runs a team in most age groups, starting with the under 7’s, all the way up to under 18’s, including teams for both boys and girls. All teams train once a week on dedicated training nights, depending on which age group they are in, and the clubs philosophy it to make training inclusive and FUN. Alresford Town Youth FC provides a safe environment to help players develop their ball skills, increase fitness and above all learn important social skills, and make lots of new friends.

Our annual registration list regularly sees well over 200 children signed on & enjoying football with the Club, & our teams can be found competing in the Eastleigh & District Mini-Soccer League, Southampton & District Tyro League, City of Southampton Youth Football League, & the Hampshire Girls Youth Football League. All players are given the opportunity to experience competitive football with each team. All teams are entered into the local leagues, with the younger players at the development age (U7-U11) being able to play on smaller pitches and starting with 5-a-side at Under 8, moving on to 7-a-side at Under 9 and Under 10, the 9-a-side at Under 11 and Under 12. This enables the players to learn the game on a realistic size pitch and with fewer players. From Under 13, the players move to full-size pitches playing in 11-a-side.

Alresford Town Youth FC is partly funded by donations and sponsorship from local businesses. If you run a business in or around the area and are interested in supporting your local club to develop and grow, or maybe you’re interested in helping out, either as a coach, official, or team manager, please get in touch via this website.
