The Pitch Preparation Fund was set up in support of the game, which is currently facing unprecedented challenges because of the COVID-19 outbreak. The Fund is providing grants to clubs that have lost out on normal revenue streams during this difficult period. Following the recent statement from the Prime Minister and the subsequent FA Announcement regarding Grass Roots Football in England, it is with regret that ATYFC will be suspending all football activities until further notice. The Committee and Managers of ATYFC are deeply saddened by the need for this course of action but feel there is no alternative. Alresford Town Youth FC are on the hunt for the next generation of female players after receiving a £3000 Grow the Game grant. The scheme, which is funded by The Football Association [The FA] and delivered by the Football Foundation, will enable Alresford Town Youth FC to create two completely new girls teams, in the younger age groups, providing a significant boost to female participatory opportunities in Alresford.
